Two day workshop on ‘Digital Transformation’ concludes at Yashobhoomi

The Bureau of Indian Standards in association with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) conducted two days IEC/ISO Workshop on Digital Transformation at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, Dwarka. The workshop concluded here today.
While delivering the inaugural address, Shri Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Director General, BIS said that BIS has been actively involved with both ISO & IEC since its inception in 1947. DG, BIS also mentioned, “Being one of the largest standards body, the standards portfolio of BIS currently consists of over 22000 standards; we have established 387 Sectional Committees as of today under 16 Division Councils, with about 19,000 domain area experts representing industry, industry associations, academic institutions, research & development organizations, central and state government bodies, and civil society groups as members”. He emphasized that ‘small industries and MSME’s stand to gain most from digital transformation in standards’.
Standards Machine Applicable Readable and Transferable (SMART) is the joint programme of ISO and IEC to drive the digital evolution of international standards. The workshop was designed as technical sessions constituting various themes to address the need for demystifying SMART standards and digital transformation in the standardization process.
The event provided gainful insights into the current status of SMART standards, fostering a deeper understanding of the advancements and challenges in this domain.
Some of the key takeaways of the workshop on digital transformation included were Information Dissemination and Awareness Building-The workshop helped to demystify the intricate concept of SMART standards, catering to a diverse audience that included National Standards Bodies (NSBs), industry/industry bodies, manufacturers, service providers, and various stakeholders.
Tracking Progress in SMART Standards-Participants gained insights into the current status of SMART standards, fostering a deeper understanding of the advancements and challenges in this domain. The workshop gave a platform to discuss technological hurdles that may impact the development of SMART standards, offering a comprehensive overview of the landscape.
Industry Sensitization to Digital Transformation-The workshop sensitised the role that digital transformation plays in standard formulation and the establishment of technical regulations.
Value Derivation for National Standards Bodies (NSBs)-The workshop also focused on the potential for National Standards Bodies (NSBs) to derive substantial value from the utilization and adaptation of digital transformation principles and SMART standards and impact NSBs’ efficacy and relevance in the evolving standards landscape.
The workshop saw active participation from ISO Central Secretariat, IEC Secretariat and several ISO member countries including Japan, South Africa, Germany, UK etc. The deliberations threw light on topics like Data Management, End user value, SMART pilots and the workshop gave a platform to deliberate experiences in digital transformation. The delegates included representatives from National Standards Bodies, Industries, Academia, Government organizations, Regulators, Indian IT/Tech start-ups, etc.
Shri Chandan Bahl, Deputy Director General (IR & TIS, MSC and SCM) in his welcome address said that Digital transformation is drastically reshaping activities all over the world. Shri Rajeev Sharma, DDG (Standardization – II) laid the programme objectives for the 2 day event and stressed on the impact of digital transformation in driving Industry 4.0, transforming sectors like power, infrastructure, and transportation.
Mr Gilles Thonet, Deputy Secretary General IEC and Ms Mara Rolando, Head of PMO, ISO talked about IEC & ISO Strategies and Digital Transformation in their Theme Address and observed that there is tremendous potential to learn from India’s digital transformation journey. IEC Vice President and SMB Chair, Shri Vimal Mahendroo, while delivered the keynote address on Digital Standards & Conformity Assessment, 2030 and Beyond.

Year End Review of GOBARdhan: “Waste to Wealth” initiative 536 Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plants and 1193 Biogas Plants registered on the Unified Registration Portal for GOBARdhan since its launch in June’23

Galvanising Organic Bio-Agro Resources Dhan (GOBARdhan) is a major multi-ministerial initiative of GoI, aimed at converting biodegradable/ organic waste, including cattle dung and agricultural residues and other biomass, into valuable resources such as biogas, compressed biogas (CBG), and organic manure and to promote circular economy through a novel “Whole of Government” approach.
The budget announcement 2023 provided a major fillip to this transformative initiative by announcing establishment of “500 new “waste to wealth” plants with an investment of Rs. 10,000 Crore. During FY 2023-24, 198 plants were set up which includes12 Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants and 186 biogas plants. Further, 556 plants are under construction stage which include 129 CBG plants as well as 427 biogas plants.
The Government of India has taken several steps to promote the implementation of GOBARdhan initiative at speed and scale which inter alia includes/ following initiatives taken by the Government during the current year Financial Year :
CBG included in the list of activities for trading of carbon credits under bilateral/ cooperative approaches, 17th February 2023- This will help CBG plant owners to generate extra revenue through trading of carbon credits.
Central excise duty exemption has been provided to CNG blended with CBG from 2nd February, 2023 to prevent double taxation
Fertiliser Control Order (FCO) amendment notification has been issued by DA&FW for;
granting exemption for requirement of Authorization letter for sale of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) /Liquid Fermented Organic Manure (LFOM) (organic manure produced from GOBARdhan plants) for a period of three year to boost uptake of LFOM/FOM.
raising the moisture content norms from 30-40 % to 30-70% in FOM.
Increase in C/N ratio from “less than 20” to “upto 30” and pH content in LFOM/FOM from “6.5-8.0” to “6.5-8.4”
Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has prepared a report on “Utilisation of Bioslurry in various cropping systems” as well as package of practices for application of FOM/ LFOM for various crops to popularize benefits of FOM/LFOM on soil health and farm productivity

Unified Registration Portal for GOBARdhan has been developed by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation and launched on 01st June, 2023 to streamline the registration of CBG and biogas plants nationwide and to monitor status of same. The portal has been expanded upon stakeholder consultations to include various important functionalities such as “Functionality Assessment Module” to evaluate functionality status of plants, “Bank Loan Module” to track loan application status and get response from the banks.
Through the existing and upcoming policy enablers in the Biogas/CBG sector, the ultimate vision of Government is to expand the reach, awareness and implementation of Biogas/CBG plants and make the industry lucrative for private sector investment.
Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), and Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, have renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today. During the five-year term of MoU, MoRD will work with ROSHNI – Centre of Women Collectives led Social Action (CWCSA), to strengthen interventions for better results of Food, Nutrition, Health and WASH (FNHW) for rural communities.
Acknowledging the partnership with ROSHNI-CWCSA, Additional Secretary, Rural Livelihoods, Shri Charanjit Singh stated that academia is vital to bring fresh perspective to on-ground interventions. We should appreciate and adopt traditional knowledge like agri-nutri gardens for food safety and nutrition sufficiency. Such messages should be disseminated in crisp and effective manner.
This partnership will strengthen nutrition, gender equity and livelihoods for women. The FNHW interventions through Pariwar Chaupal should be replicated in other States as well as integration of MIS into the system for attaining nutrition sufficiency, stated Joint Secretary Ms. Smriti Sharan.
Director of Lady Irwin College and Chairperson of ROSHNI-CWCSA Dr Anupa Siddhu stressed upon synergy between government and academia for women empowerment. “The Lady Irwin College and MoRD are on the same page to empower women collectives. Their true empowerment is becoming consumer from producer and giver from taker. Through our partnership we could enhance capacity building of community resource persons (CRP) for FNHW and gender interventions.”
Lauding the unmatched strength of women Self-Help Groups, Dr Lopamudra Tripathy, Head – Social Behaviour Change Communication, UNICEF, drew attention to this ‘social capital’ to scale up FNHW and gender interventions through partnership with MoRD and now nudging social behaviour requires reinforcement of key messages to improve social practices.
Dr Sarita Anand, Lead, ROSHNI-CWCSA, in her presentation highlighted milestones of the previous five-year partnership with MoRD through consistent support of UNICEF.
Explaining the on-ground activities in communities, the FNHW CRPs, Ms. Shanti Baghel and Ms. Basanti Kashyap delved into their respective journey to integrate gender and equity interventions in families in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, that improved health, nutrition and sanitation aspects, particularly for women and adolescent girls. They shared that constant efforts in engaging men through Pariwar Chaupal meetings and mobilising women for Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day have gradually increased access to health and nutrition services and entitlements in Bastar.
ROSHNI-CWCSA is supported by UNICEF India technically and financially. Currently, ROSHNI-CWCSA is serving as a technical support unit at national level to DAY-NRLM and is embedded in the Department of Development Communication and Extension, Lady Irwin College. ROSHNI assists DAY-NRLM to improve food, nutrition, health, and WASH (FNHW) outcomes for 9.96 crore Self Help Group (SHG) members and their households across the country. It envisions breaking the self-perpetuating cycle of malnutrition – illness – out-of-pocket expenditure for addressing poverty. Integration of Food, Health, Nutrition and WASH interventions are carried out regularly by more than 1.2 lakh trained community resource persons in SHGs and their federations.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today participated in Parakram Diwas celebrations at the Red Fort in Delhi. He also launched Bharat Parv which will showcase the nation’s rich diversity with Republic Day Tableaux and cultural exhibitions. The Prime Minister took a walkthrough of the technology-led interactive Exhibition of the National Archives comprising of photos, paintings, books and sculptures on NetaJi and also witnessed a drama, synced with projection mapping, on the life of Netaji presented by the National School of Drama. He also felicitated Lt. R Madhavan, the only living INA Veteran. Parakram Diwas is celebrated from 2021 onwards on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to duly honour the contribution of luminaries who played a significant role in the freedom struggle.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes on the occasion of Parakram Diwas which is celebrated on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary. He said that Red Fort which was once a witness to the bravery and valor of Azad Hind Fauj has once again brimming with new energy. Referring to the initial period of Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal as a celebration of accomplishment through resolution, the Prime Minister called this moment unprecedented as he recalled yesterday’s event when the entire world witnessed a cultural consciousness awakening in India. “The energy and belief of the Pran Pratishtha was felt by the entire humanity and the world”, the Prime Minister said as the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash are underway today. Since the announcement of the Prakram Diwas, the Prime Minister emphasized that it widens the Republic Day celebrations starting from the 23rd to the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on the 30th of January, and now the auspicious festivities of the 22nd of January has also become a part of this festival of democracy. “The last few days of January are inspirational to India’s belief, cultural consciousness, democracy and patriotism”, the Prime Minister said as he conveyed his best wishes.
The Prime Minister praised everyone involved in the organization of the event. Earlier during the day, the Prime Minister interacted with the youths who were awarded Rashtriya Bal Puruskar. “Whenever I meet the young generation of India, my confidence in the dream of Viksit Bharat gets further strengthened. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is a huge role model for this ‘Amrit’ generation of the nation”, PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister also touched on Bharat Parv that he launched today and informed about the events and displays that will take place in the next 9 days. “Bharat Parv is a reflection of the ideals of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. This is a ‘parv’ of adopting ‘Vocal for Local’, promoting tourism, respecting diversity and to give new height to ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’’ ‘ he said.
Recalling hoisting Tricolour on the occasion of 75 years of INA at the same Red Fort, PM Modi said, “that life of Netaji was the pinnacle of hard work as well as valour”. Remembering Netaji’s sacrifice, the Prime Minister said that he not only opposed the Britishers but also gave a suitable reply to the people who raised questions on Indian civilization. Netaji, Shri Modi continued, showcased India’s image as the mother of democracy before the world.
Referring to Netaji’s fight against the mentality of slavery, PM Modi said that Netaji would have been proud of the new consciousness and pride pervading the young generation of today’s India. This new awareness has become the energy for creating Viksit Bharat. Today’s youth is adopting Panch Pran and stepping out of the mentality of slavery, he said. “Netaji’s life and his contributions are an inspiration for the youth of India”, PM Modi emphasized, hoping that this inspiration is always carried forward. In this belief, the Prime Minister highlighted the efforts of the government in the last 10 years and mentioned giving the deserved respect by establishing Netaji’s statue on Kartavya Path which reminds every citizen about his dedication to duty. He also mentioned renaming the islands of Andaman & Nicobar where Azad Hind Fauj first hoisted the Tricolour, the ongoing development of a memorial dedicated to Netaji, a dedicated museum for Netaji and Azad Hind Fauj in Red Fort, and the declaration of a National Disaster Relief Award in Netaji’s name for the first time. “The present government has done more work dedicated to Azad Hind Fauj than any other government in independent India and I consider this to be a blessing for us”, Shri Modi added.
Speaking about Netaji’s deeper understanding of India’s challenges, the Prime Minister recalled his belief about strengthening India’s political democracy on the foundations of a democratic society. However, the Prime Minister lamented the attack on Netaji’s ideology post-independence as he mentioned the evils of nepotism and favouritism making inroads into Indian democracy which ultimately led to India’s slow development. Pointing out that a huge section of society was deprived of opportunities and basic necessities meant for their upliftment, Shri Modi highlighted the clout of a handful of families on political, economic and development policies and said that it led to women and youth of the country suffering huge losses. He recalled the difficulties faced by the women and youth of the time and emphasized the spirit of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ which was implemented once the present government was chosen in 2014. “The results of the last 10 years can be seen by all”, Shri Modi said expressing confidence about the ample opportunities present today for the sons and daughters of poor families. The Prime Minister also drew attention to the confidence arising among the women of India about the government being sensitive to the smallest of their needs as he mentioned the passage of Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam after years-long wait. He reiterated that Amrit Kaal has brought with itself the opportunity to showcase bravery and reshape the political future of the country. “Youth power and Nari Shakti can play a big role in changing the politics of Viksit Bharat and your power can free the country’s politics from the evils of nepotism and corruption”, the Prime Minister said stressing the need to show courage to end these evils in politics as well.
Recalling his exhortation at the Pran Pratishtha that this is the time to devote oneself to the Rashtra Kaaj from Ram Kaaj- from Ram’s work to Nation’s work, PM Modi underlined the global expectations from India. “Our aim is to make India a developed nation by the year 2047. Our goal is to make India economically prosperous, culturally strong and strategically capable. For this, it is important that within the coming 5 years we become the third-largest economic power in the world. And this goal is not far from our reach. In the last 10 years, due to the efforts and encouragement of the entire country, about 25 crore Indians have come out of poverty. India is today achieving goals which were not even imagined to be achieved earlier.”, PM Modi added.
The Prime Minister also elaborated on the steps taken during the last 10 years for Indian defence self-reliant. Mentioning the prohibition of hundreds of ammunition and equipment and creation of a vibrant domestic defence industry, the Prime Minister said “India, which was once the world’s largest defence importer, is now joining the world’s largest defence exporters.”
The Prime Minister underlined that today’s India is busy connecting the entire world as a ‘Vishwa Mitra’ (friend of the world) and it is working forward to provide solutions to the world’s challenges. PM Modi reiterated that while on the one hand, India is trying to forge a path from war to peace for the world, the nation is also prepared to protect national interests.
Concluding the address, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the next 25 years for India and its people and stressed dedicating every moment of Amrit Kaal towards national interests. “We must work hard, and we must be brave. This is critical to building a Viksit Bharat. Parakram Diwas will remind us of this resolution every year”, the Prime Minister concluded.

In line with the vision of the Prime Minister to take steps to duly honour the contribution of luminaries who played a significant role in the freedom struggle, the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is being celebrated as Parakram Diwas from 2021 onwards. The program being held this year at Red Fort will be a multifaceted celebration seamlessly weaving together historical reflections and vibrant cultural expressions. The activities will delve into the profound legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj. Visitors will get an opportunity to engage with an immersive experience through archives exhibitions showcasing rare photographs and documents that chronicle the remarkable journey of Netaji and the Azad Hind Fauj. The celebrations will continue till 31st January, 2024.
During the program, the Prime Minister also launched Bharat Parv, to be held from the 23rd to the 31st of January. It will showcase the country’s rich diversity with Republic Day Tableaux and cultural exhibits, featuring efforts of 26 Ministries and Departments, highlighting citizen-centric initiatives, vocal for local, diverse tourist attractions, among others. It will take place in the Ram Leela Maidan and Madhav Das Park in front of Red Fort.

Bhashini and IGNOU to formalize their collaboration with Department of Justice

The Vice-President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar will inaugurate a year long pan India campaign ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ to commemorate the 75th Year of India as Republic, tomorrow i.e. 24th January, 2024 at Dr Ambedkar International Centre. The campaign aims to reaffirm our collective commitment to the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and celebrate the shared values that bind our nation. This nationwide initiative envisage to instill a sense of pride and responsibility to uphold the ideals outlined in the constitutional framework. It will also give opportunity to every citizen to participate in various ways, empower them to contribute in meaningful way in our democratic journey. Some of the themes to be covered during the Campaign include:-
Sabko Nyay –Har Ghar Nyaya aims to connect the villagers through the Village Level Entrepreneurs of the Common Service Centers and exalt them to read Sabko Nyay pledge; ‘Nyaya Sahayaks’ which will spearhead awareness about the various citizen- centric legal services to the masses, at their door steps across aspirational blocks and districts. At the State/UT level, Nyaya Seva Mela would be organized which would serve as platforms for individuals to seek guidance, information and support on various legal as well as other services and schemes of the government.
Another activity naming Nav Bharat Nav Sankalp aims to encourage the masses to embrace the resolutions of Panch Pran by reading the Panch Pran Pledge. The citizens would get the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity by participating in Panch Pran Rangotsav (Poster Making competition); Panch Pran Anubhav (Reel/Video making competition). The citizens will also get the chance to test their knowledge on Constitution in engaging way. The activities would be hosted at the My Gov platform.
The third activity Vidhi Jagriti Abhiyan aims to involve the students to carry the message Panch Pran in the villages adopted by the Law colleges, under the Pro Bono Club scheme. It aims to disseminate the legal information of the rights responsibilities and entitlements in very engaging, entertaining and memorable way. It also aims to touch the vulnerable sections of society through Gram Vidhi Chetna, Vanchit Varg Samman, and Nari Bhagidari initiatives.
During the Event, Nyaya Setu will be launched which is a significant and transformative step that aims to extend and expand the reach of legal services till the last mile. It will provide a unified legal interface for legal information, legal advice and legal assistance and thus enable a more inclusive and just society.
The Event will also witness the release of the achievement booklet of the Scheme on Access to Justice ‘Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice’ (DISHA). Under DISHA scheme Tele Law Programme has connected 67 lakh+ citizens for pre-litigation advice through the use of Tele-Law Citizens Mobile App and via 2.5 lakh Common Service Centers (CSC) situated in 36 States and UTs in the country. The Nyaya Bandhu (Pro Bono Legal Services) Programme aims to decentralize and create a dispensation framework for the Pro Bono Legal Services programme. It has created a network of 10,000+ of Probono advocates across 24 Bar Councils, created Nyaya Bandhu Panels in 25 High Courts and constituted Pro Bono Clubs across 89 Law schools in the country. In addition to this, more than 7 lakh beneficiaries have been sensitized and made aware on their legal rights and duties and entitlements through webinars and legal literacy programmes being implemented through support of 14 agencies across the country.
Simultaneously, the event will also bring together representatives from Bhashini and IGNOU to formalize their collaboration with Department of Justice. The partnership with Bhashini would break the barriers of language in accessibility to justice. The solutions of Bhashini have already been embedded in the Nyay Setu – Tele Facilitation of legal services. The partnership with IGNOU will open the opportunity for Paralegals to acquire certifications in diverse field of laws, enhance their educational opportunities and increase their skills and employability across different sectors of legal assistance and support.
The dignitaries who will grace the event include Minister of State(I/C) for Law and Justice Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and Attorney General of India, Shri R. Venkatramani as Guest of Honour.
650+ Tele-Law functionaries from Common Service Centres across the country, students and faculty of the Pro Bono Law colleges will attend this event. This momentous inauguration event will conclude with the key note address by the Vice-President.
The Campaign ‘Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Samman’ is being undertaken by Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

To take the resolution of ‘Self-reliant and Developed India’ of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to a new dimension, on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of the idol of Sri Ram installed at the birthplace in the new temple built in AyodhyaDham, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (KVIC), distributed machinery and toolkits under Sri Ram Mahotsav, KhadiSamvad and Village Industries Development Scheme in District Bhiwani, Tehsil-Siwani, Village-Jhumpa of Haryana yesterday.
On this occasion, thousands of artisans, beneficiaries and local people present in the program witnessed the auspicious moment of consecration of Sri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. KVIC made special arrangements for live telecast of the program on a large LED screen. The chief guest of the program was ShriBiplab Kumar Deb, Member of Parliament, RajyaSabha, in the presence of Chairman, KVIC, ShriManoj Kumar and Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Animal Husbandry, Haryana Government, Shri Jai PrakashDalal. Electric operated chalks were provided to 120 potters, 350 bee boxes to 35 beekeepers, automatic agarbatti machines to 20 beneficiaries, pedal operated agarbatti machines to 20, leather tool kits to 75 artisans and certificates to about 40 trainees.
Shri Biplav Kumar Dev said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, KVIC is doing commendable work towards rural empowerment. He further said that today when the whole world is witnessing the mystical moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Dham, KVIC has further reinforced the determination of self-reliant and developed India by organizing a special tool kit distribution program for the welfare of the artisans of the country. He further said that under the guidance of Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi, the young Chairman of KVIC Shri Kumar is working day and night to take the Khadi and Village Industries Commission to new heights, due to which the popularity of Khadi and village industries products has increased promptly.
Addressing the artisans, Shri Jai Prakash Dalal Cabinet Minister Haryana Government said that the ‘double engine’ government in Haryana has done significant work for the welfare of the farmers. He said that in the last 9 years, KVIC has taken the schemes of the Government of India to every village to empower the artisans of rural areas.
Addressing the program, Shri Kumar Chairman, said that today is a historic moment for the whole world. Lord Sri Ram is sitting in his house after 500 years. He further said that Sri Ram Janmabhoomi movement has been the turning point of his life. In 1992, he contributed as a volunteer in the Ram Mandir movement. Like every KarSevak, his years old wish has been fulfilled today. He said that the consecration of Sri Ram Lalla at the Janmabhoomi in AyodhyaDham is the victory of the Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi’s pledge which he had taken during the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement in the 1990s.
KVIC Chairman said that the guarantee of Modi government under the leadership of the country’s successful Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi has now become the guarantee of a self-reliant and developed India. Following the same path, the KVIC, through the implementation of its various employment-oriented schemes and programs, is promoting Khadi and its important indigenous products in the country and providing self-employment and providing economic support to the poor artisans of the country. He further said that Khadi, which PujyaBapu had made the most effective weapon in the struggle against British rule during the Swadeshi movement in the Indian freedom struggle, has now been taken up by the Prime Minister ShriNarendraModi to restore Khadi to its old glory. He said that in the last 9 years the business of Khadi and village industry products has crossed the figure of Rs 1.34 lakh crore. The production of Khadi textiles has increased from Rs 880 crore to Rs 3000 crore and the sale of Khadi products has increased from Rs 1170 crore to Rs 6000 crore. Not only this, during the KhadiMahotsav, sales of Rs 1.5 crore were made in a day in the showroom of Connaught Place in Delhi and Rs 25 crore were sold in a month in KhadiBhandar.

Owing to the improving asset quality, increase in lending rates and effective management of Financing Cost, REC is able to record its highest ever 9M profit of ₹ 10,003 crores. As a result, the annualised Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the period ended 31st December 2023 accelerated to ₹ 50.65 per share as against ₹ 40.79 per share as at 31st December 2022.
Aided by growth in profits, the Net Worth has grown to ₹ 64,787 crores as on 31st December 2023, an increase of 18% YoY.
The loan book has maintained its growth trajectory and has increased by 21% to ₹ 4.97 lakh crore as against ₹ 4.11 lakh crores as at 31st December 2022. Signifying improving asset quality, the Net Credit-impaired assets have reduced to 0.82% from 1.12% as at 31st December 2022 with Provision Coverage Ratio of 70.41% on NPA assets, as at 31st December 2023.
Indicating the ample opportunity to support the future growth, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) of the Company stands at a comfortable 28.21% as on 31st December 2023.
